The Eduwings management cares about the children’s health and keeps it the most important task to purify the indoor air for them as the air pollution is worsening in Beijing. Our efficient air purifying system and active counter-measures ensure that the children can study and play in a safe and healthy environment.
Air Quality in Eduwings
Our Purpose
The Air Purification Systems in our Facilities
The Eduwings management has been trying its best to improve the air quality in kindergarten during recent years, and after all-round investigation and research, decided to cooperate with the Swiss company IQAIR. We set up a Fresh Air system and separate air purifiers, which means we have Perfect 16 Fresh Air System in the public areas and also separately use IQAir Health Pro250 air purifiers in all classrooms in order to improve the exchange and purification of the indoor air.
The IQAir Perfect 16 Fresh Air System has four H11 filters, which each work for an area of 19 sqm. Those filters can filter 95% of the particles and reduce carbon dioxide concentration so as to improve the indoor air quality furthest, and keep the air freshness and cleanliness index within the healthy range: the carbon dioxide concentration is below1000ppm and PM2.5 is within 75. These two systems run 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, even if the outdoor air quality is good. Our purpose of doing this is to prevent any pollution caused by a sudden drop of air quality.
Our Counter-Measures
In addition to the efficient facilities, Eduwings has also drawn up a strict counter strategy against air pollution, which clearly stipulates how we arrange outdoor activities and fieldtrips for children when we encounter air pollution. At the same time, we have a staff member check the PM2.5 data released by the U.S Embassy and write it on the entrance bulletin board every morning. This staff member also updates the data at noon time and in the afternoon, and informs all educational and administrative staff who will then adjust the children’s activity arrangement accordingly in order to reduce any possibility of risk to the children’s health. If the PM2.5 value is above 300 outdoors, our management will test the inside air quality several times during the day and ensure that the Fresh Air System and air purifiers are working well, as well as inform the parents about the results.
0 - 150
Teachers will actively organize outdoor activities for children and decide the length of time.
151 - 200
Teachers can organize outdoor activities for children, but the time shouldn’t be more than 30 minutes.
Above 200
All outdoor activities are cancelled.

3. We will regularly check with the government authorities about any updates on the situation and inform parents about any changes as soon as possible.
4. We will send out an official e-mail to announce the end of the red alert and going back to our usual kindergarten routine.
